^This.Nothing wrong with an oil that has proper ratings/specs for your application. SuperTech definitely falls into this category.
And yes, it also comes in 0W-20.
And you've always got Valvoline Restore and Protect to bail you out when and if you start burning oil.Nothing wrong with an oil that has proper ratings/specs for your application. SuperTech definitely falls into this category.

How many miles did you put on it?2018 Ecosport with 2.0 engine) with no issues
I put 118k miles on it before I traded it in for my current car (they made offer I couldn't refuse), and engine was clean as a whistle with very little oil consumption (1/2 qt per 5-7k miles). How many miles did you put on it?
Naturally aspirated but GDI though so still fairly hard on oil.
Nah......12%.....many Valvoline products have 12%.....they just state "less than" 15%.I wouldn't run a 20 grade oil personally, especially from Warren oil, but it's a BITOG favorite for sure, and you'll be hard pressed to find people who will admit to issues running it here. I suspect there are some issues but you won't find people admitting to them.
If you do a search, you'll find some good threads.
Why not use Supertech for everything?
People with high mileage who run SuperTech
Here's a link to the SuperTech PDS. 12% Noack. Yeah, no thanks.
Yeah, just not that Super or TechNah......12%.....many Valvoline products have 12%.....they just state "less than" 15%.

I might be wrong, but Dexos standard for current gm vehicles HTHS is 2.9....this SuperTech 5w30 shows 3.2 for HTHS, above board in that regard at least.Yeah, just not that Super or Tech
Going to be a battle coming over EHC - soooo …
EHC is ExxonMobil’s GrpII+ and used on top of GrpIII and still able to be called “synthetic” in the USA. It is assumed that Super Tech, Kirkland, and even Mobil’s Mobil Synthetic - and of course Delvac HDEO use what they can to maximize profits …I might be wrong, but Dexos standard for current gm vehicles HTHS is 2.9....this SuperTech 5w30 shows 3.2 for HTHS, above board in that regard at least.
EHC?
Thanks for that info.EHC is ExxonMobil’s GrpII+ and used on top of GrpIII and still able to be called “synthetic” in the USA. It is assumed that Super Tech, Kirkland, and even Mobil’s Mobil Synthetic - and of course Delvac HDEO use what they can to maximize profits …
It’s produced in Texas - so I expect more pressure than ever to maximize production …
Yeah, it’s a good base stock …Thanks for that info.
I am not on the train of "synthetic or bust".....what ever works IMO.
Hard to argue with results.I put 118k miles on it before I traded it in for my current car (they made offer I couldn't refuse), and engine was clean as a whistle with very little oil consumption (1/2 qt per 5-7k miles).
They probably do. You're right. We just don't know because they don't tell us.Nah......12%.....many Valvoline products have 12%.....they just state "less than" 15%.
