This oil filter is from member jayjr1105. Had 6-7k on it on his 05’ Honda Odyssey. I will say it looks good. Enjoy the photos and Happy Saturday 🇺🇸🇨🇦🍻

This is the new(er) ST 'hybrid' type filter made by Champs Labs. Has ecore centertube otherwise same as standard metal endcap filter. ACDelco also uses this design some filters. In ST, unique to 9688 and posted here previously. Looks fine.

With new owner M&H, wonder if this ST design will continue. In WM recently, looking at the exterior M1 110A, filter including baseplate now looks identical to PL14610 and Bosch Prem. 3323.

Thanks for c&p.

Here is the UOA that went along with this filter
I'm actually really impressed by the build quality of that thing for $2.99. I'm going to get more of these my next WM trip. I'm sold.
Thanks 53 for be willing to cut it!

Thanks for the C&P.
I have decided that any future filters I purchase for the H/K vehicles I service will be these ST9688 filters (I do have a few Fram TG and XG 9688 to use up first).
I do have a ST9688 on my mom's Soul now.
If they would use a silicone ADV, they would be perfect, but for the interval that my vehicles do, the nitrile is fine.

Wait, when did M&H buy Champ Labs?

My apologies for the error, good catch. First Brands formerly Trico Group( Fram owner) acquired Champ Labs in July. The latter until relatively recently used to make M1 filters. M1 appears now made (at least the previously mentioned M1 110A) by Puro US a division of M&L.

Coincidentally now I see a new c&p post of the M1 110A, unfortunately for whatever reason(s) my computer won't/doesn't display the pics.

Back to topic ST9688, as noted it's design is unique in ST line. 'Unless a change very recently', the rest of larger ST filters like 3614 standard ecore with nitrile combo valve with exception of the very smallest filters like 4967 which are classic metal endcap construction.
