Subdivision living isn't all it's cracked up to be. Hope he feels good that his lawn is nicely mowed, and that all his neighbors aren't too pleased with him.

I'll trade you for mine. Apparently she can't sleep unless all 3 of her dogs in the backyard are barking at the same time.

That's alright, my neighbor has a Harley with straight pipes and constantly revs the **** out of it in the morning and then rips it up my street at 7 am.

farrar, no can do. The people who moved in directly behind us are real nice people and all. They just leave their two little dogs outside 24/7. Yipe-ey barking all the time. Makes it impossible to hold a conversation in my own back yard.

My previous residence saw our next door neighbor start up his muffler-less Kawasaki outside OUR window so he wouldn't wake up his daughter when he left for work at 6am.

Two doors down from that guy holds the record for the "(not so) Distant Early Mowing" award: 6:15am on Sunday. I think that guy moved out soon after he moved in. Thank God.

I miss living on 10 acres without neighbors. No noise, no silly subdivision by-laws (you can't hang clothes to dry here!), you can have any size pool you want. Lastly, and most importantly, you can park as many cars as you'd like in the front yard.

Sarcasm=on.
Maybe setting up my rather large drum set at 5am outside and just go crazy for a while. Maybe play my favorite solo by Mr Neil Peart "the Rhythm Method". I'll just tell them "I'm going on vacation and NEED to play drums before I leave. Sorry." Sarcasm = off.

This area is great to live in, I just miss space and quietness and common sense.

sounds like my neighbor who cuts his grass three times a week at 630am (he's retired) he has a garden and all into maintaining his yard.

I don't get off work till 3:30am, usually not to to bed till 5 or 6. I have all kinds of distractions when trying to sleep

My neighbor drives a Diesel car hauler up the road 50x a day. He also has a **** can on his car, which he also leaves in all day and night. My other neighbor has a harley, usually comes home at noon for lunch. Maybe I should get ear plugs, some vibrating alarm clock device

Thanks guys, it makes me appreciate my 'hood much more!

Saturdays are okay for firing up the lawn mower and other power equipment after 9 a.m. Sundays are sacred.

Except on here, the ratio is much better (only 5% are morons here)

Even though we're only in our early 30's, my wife & I live in a retirement condo community (very quiet). We have lawnkeepers who , under contract, CAN NOT do early-morning mowing or bye-bye contract.

That is kind of early but better then one who doesn't cut his grass at all and his place looks like garbage because he's lazy.

7.45AM is pushing it even for a week day, IMHO.

If I had to mow on a Sunday morning, I'd wait until at least 9.

Then again, I mow in the evening when I can, it's supposedly better for the grass to cut it later in the day so it can recover overnight without the heat of the day beating on it.

bark and gravel=NO LAWN MOWER ('mow' with Round-up twice a year! works great and is a lot quieter! neighbors were so taken by idea, they do it too!!! quiet!)

A guy who worked under my supervision once told me that the tennant he rented a house to had a problem when my guy mowed the lawn at the house at 7 AM on Saturdays.

When asked my opinion, I said it was kind of early. He looked at me in disbelief.

I'll give a different perspective.

I live across the street from a mega-church, which has a groundskeeper who thinks that running a leaf blower at 7:15 on Sunday morning is his sacred duty. And it is not like there are clippings that need to be tidied at that time, the mowing is done another time. They also have a large diesel delivery truck which arrives every Wednesday at 7:15 AM, and gifts us with noise and emissions pollution for forty-five minutes.

And then there was the battle re-enactment they arranged for their school, complete with uniformed soldiers and machine gun fire, which took place with no warning to the neighborhood. If you haven't heard machine guns in what you think of as your refuge, from men ducking behind trees, you can't imagine what it is like.

My parents house was down the street from a church that must have thought everyone just loved the sound of church bells, as they rang them frequently, at odd hours, at about ten minutes a shot. That gets very old very fast.

Thoughtlessly induced noise pollution is thoughtlessly induced noise pollution, no matter who perpetrates it.
