Subaru Super Coolant Causes Super Confusion

Peak Asian Blue has 2EHA in it.
Can you provide a link and/or citing specifically to that claim? Fyi, just off the phone with Peak/OWI customer technical support, rep said Peak OET Asian Blue "still a no 2eha" AF. While not always complete, SDS also indicates a no "2eha". Also have an email in to OWI about it, will post if they reply.

In fact, just like the All Vehicles coolant, they're doubling down on 2EHA.....
Long time forum favorite AMM, Peak Global Lifetime still a No 2eha formula. Also newer Peak Titanium a no 2eha AF. That clearly indicates at least Peak/OWI not abandoning their no 2eha AFs even in AMM.

Already covered in this post (link below). Whoever you spoke to must not be in the loop with their improved 2025 formulation.

Why did you not answer the question? 2-EHA is not good stuff and is now banned in many countries and looks to be banned globally sooner than later. Why would Peak introduce it in the newest 2025 formula?

Why does Prestone differentiate between 2-Ethyl Hexanoic Acid, Sodium Salt 19766-89-3 and Diethylene Glycol 111-46-6 which is also used in Peak Asian Blue?

I know the SDS doesn't include everything - ie its not hazardous or its proprietary. However they should always include 2EHA because it is definitely hazardous - Its outright banned in Europe except in highly controlled industrial uses, and its definitely not proprietary.

I have seen it labeled a couple different ways however.

If true as the image appears to show, then that's disappointing on two fronts. One that the agent I spoke with not aware of a change, but more importantly that Peak OET Asian has added 2eha to that their "OET" formula. I would no longer consider it to be "Original Equipment Technology", as to this point excepting one, OEMs including Honda Type Two, Mazda FL22 and Nissan LL and Toyota SLL still no 2eha AFs. I would add, if one wants it ,grab the old formula Peak OET Asian Blue formula while you can.

I also note your non response to the Peak Global Lifetime and Titanium AF still being no 2eha AFs. I'll take that as indisputable information. For reference, Peak's cheapest All Make Models AF has always been a 2eha AF, so no change there.

All of this is enough to make a guy switch all his vehicles to Prestone All Makes All Models. 😂🤷. I really wish coolant was standardized.

Meh, if you want to go the AMM AF route, my recommendation is the aforementioned no 2eha Peak Global Lifetime or Peak Titanium. That said, your choice of Zerex Asian AF for the Suby is solid.
