Subaru 15208AA15A C&P, At least 2yrs in service

Oil change on MIL’s 2013 Subaru Legacy 4cyl. Over two years in service with unknown mileage. Car only has a little over 25000 miles on it.

That is a nice car to neglect like that. That’s ridiculous to go that long on an oil change. By the looks of the filter, that had to be 20,000 miles+.
 
25k/10 years is 2,500 miles per year avg. That would put this filter around 5,000 miles of use. Thanks!
Further details from the owner: Less than 3000 miles in the last 2yrs. Severely short tripped. It probably hasn’t gotten to normal operating temp in a while.

On close inspection, the globular looking stuff on the ends look like the fiber end caps are just disintegrating.

That would explain the nasty & a strike against fiber end caps in that environment. I see why you went with Fram Endurance and Mobil 1 EP for this engine to have a fighting chance. Thanks again!
