Sub Inflation

Subway in Richmond California was $13.99 for a 12" sub a few weeks ago. That was US$ too, so double the sticker-shock for me.

In general, I don't know how people can afford to live in the SF Bay area.

I check this thread occasionally and find it informative, but not being a Subway customer I have to ask…isn’t their mantra the jingle “five dollar foot looooooongs”?

No idea, I had not eaten there in a long time. It was the only nearby place open c. 10:30 p.m.

I checked our local prices after posting - typically also $12.xx, but in C$, so far cheaper.

That was long ago...I was never a fan of Subway..
Yuck

We ate there recently in a pinch. Found an online offer for $5.98 for a sub. I don't think the mayonnaise is real.

Definately not the best place to eat

I stopped at one in a Walmart in Montana recently. Most of the workers looked like they flunked out of a twelve step program. The sandwich didn't taste too bad... had the garlic aeoli on a turkey with whole wheat. Apparently if you put garlic in soybean based mayo, it turns it into aeoli.
