The flaw in your expeience(a flaw) is that south Florida doesn't experience all four seasons. Here in the Midwest... we do. We get lots of ice, and 6"-12" snowfall as well.. along with temps that can fall to 20 degrees below zero.
Its good you don't mention UV radiation. That must mean UV rays don't hurt tires, at all.

Ohhh, when we bought our Goodyear Comfortreds, I forgot to get the white letters. For a month, I was mad at myself!

I got a used set of 4 Americus tires mounted on alloy wheels for $50. Only later did I see that they were "Made in China". Does anyone have experience with Americus &/or tires made in China? So far, one of the Americus wheel/tires is smooth, quiet & absorbs bumps well, while on the non-powered rear.
