Stuck differential drain bolt

Taking it to the dealer who did the last service is a good option.
I would use a long 1/2" breaker bar with the 3/8" adapter and use my body weight to break torque.

I know you've gotten this fixed. My solution: take the last service receipt with you and tell them to remove the drain bolt, and you'll pay for a new bolt but not the labor. If they balk, tell them you'll gladly report the issue to Subaru of America. It's their cost to bear for a poor prior service. No doubt the mechanic (e-r-r-r $15 an hour tech) used an impact wrench.
