LOL, I went to Hawaii last year for about a week. Not surprisingly, I didn't see a single out of state plate the entire time I was there.

I have "Early American" plates on my Honda Accord. Most states have "antique vehicle," "classic vehicle," "historical," etc for old cars. CT called theirs "Early American" for some reason. It's a little weird having them on a Japanese car (although it actually was built in the US). I've had a few people notice them and say, "Dude, seriously?" I just smile and say, "Yep, she's a classic!"

CT finally discontinued the Early American plates and replaced them with Classic Vehicle plates, but I still have the Early American ones.

Just say

One of the funniest was on a ragged out Chevette -- LUXURY

Almost forgot, probably five years ago I saw a '90s Chevy pickup with MILF-HTR

No doubt hunting those two legged dears...

LOL. Here in Hawaii, cars imported to the islands from the continental US of A or cars purchased here are required to have local HI plates after 30 days. Hence, there are only a handful out of state plates and temporary plates.

When I drove my MK4 VW Jetta 2.0, I wanted to tag it with a vanity plate that read "2 SLOW" to poke fun of my car's engine dubbed "2.Slow". But, then the car was actually quick for my standards.

There was one in this province with MYVETTE as its plate. I'm sure passing Corvette drivers were really thrilled.

I sometimes see people with a Toyota Corolla GTS get a Japanese style license plate that says "AE 86" or "4A-GE"
However, it is my understanding that Japanese license plates don't have English letters on them anywhere.

This is actually a legitimate response to a lost plate in Maine. If you can prove you paid the DMV for a replacement metal one, you can even pass inspection with your "Facsimile".

Not a plate, but back when the "Fear This" stickers were popular, my wife decided she had to have one to put across the windshield of her '92 Geo Metro. That's right... "Fear This" in 4" lettering on a Metro!

A year or so ago I saw a digital cammo wrapped Bentley with the plate "NOTMOMS"... I'm guessing that was one of the genetic lottery winners that owns a share of the largest casino between Atlantic City and Las Vegas.

I didn't feel it was right to start a new thread when one already existed but I have to share some favorites.

There was a car running around near my for a while that had the vanity plate: LCNS PLT

On my way home from NC this past weekend I saw a large bus-type motorhome pulling a car with a tow-bar. The car's license plate said: ME PUSH

The motorhome's said: LRG CAR

I had a good LOL

I had one on an '84 Sunbird back in the late 80's that read 84JB27. 84 was the year model, JB27 was the model designator. Only GM fans would have understood this.
