No, Lubrigold is the other Warren, Warren Oil of Dunn, N.C., not to be confused with Warren Distribution=WPP.

I didn't know they were different!

Yeah they are different indeed. In your area it's possible to find Lubrigold for a good price. I've heard close to the manufacturer in Dunn NC it was $3.99 a qt. And at Food City grocery stores it is on sale there for that same price. Not bad in my opinion.

I've been using it ( STP Full SYN ) in my 2017 Jeep Patriot in 5W20 ... Done 2 oil changes so far with it and I have zero complaints as my engine runs very quiet and smooth... It's easy to find the 5 QT jug at Autozone on Sale for $24.99 which also includes an STP 10,000 Mile Extended Life Oil Filter... Not a bad deal at all.

Oil Change Shop? You change oil constantly, but not your own.
.... or did you buy an oil and filter-combo sale package at one of the auto part stores - then plan on doing the change yourself?

I've been doing 6,000 mile OCI's with STP Full SYN ... and I've upgraded to using the STP Maximum Life 15,000 mile filter as well ( still change it at 6,000 miles as well however).

If you're using the STP Extended Life ( 10,000 Mile ) or Maximum Life ( 15,000 Mile ) filters, you're all set... those are both excellent filters... If you are using the basic filter in the blue box, i'd i'd recommend you change after 3,000 miles... and preferably with conventional... If you are using Synthetic, you should use either of the first two filters I mentioned above... Can't go wrong with either one.

What's wrong with the blue-can STP filters?

As far as I know there is nothing wrong with them at all... They are great filters if you are using conventional oil and changing both oil and filter out every 3,000 - 4,000 miles... I just don't think they were made for use with Full Synthetic or for extended OCI's...
