STP or Syntec; Which would you run ??

Which of these two motor oils would you run?
Please just answer with one of the two brands specified.
A.) STP from Autozone
B.) Syntec from O’Riellys


Please answer just A or B.
No “Well I would run Pennzoil or Amsoil or Mobil1.

Did STP switch back to Amalie? At least in my area they switched away from Amalie a few years ago.

I believe so but maybe not or is it a regional thing? Not sure

I don't trust what O'Reilly makes if you call the 1-800 number on the back of syntec it's a non-working number I don't trust them.

i would go with the cheaper option between the two that lets you get the STP XL or Microgard Select filter. the premium filter even for 5k OCI’s is well worth it IMO.

Agreed. The oil deal with the STP XL filter is why I almost exclusively buy all my oil at AZ. Next oil change and all of our vehicles will have them

For me the decision would be syntec just because it's more readily available, and I'm guessing it's made by Castrol? Edit... I see it's made by Omni

The closest AutoZone to me is almost 50 miles.

O'Reilly's is only 10 miles

I don't know enough about the STP brand to choose it. I know the filters are decent


Edit: I see Amalie makes the STP oil.

If they were both readily available to me I think I'd probably go for the STP

I don’t know much about OMNI and if they make quality lubes so STP oil by Amalie gets my vote
