STP is mainly brite stock to thicken oil plus some ZDDP for no particularly good reason.
As said above, if you want thicker oil, buy thicker oil for the same price as the recommended oil for your car. If you want oil with more ZDDP, buy a dual-rated diesel/gasoline engine motor oil.
Right and wrong.
With a 4-5 qt fill it's perfect(Red STP). No harm to the balance of the oils additive package. Probably the only one anyone should use due it being tried, true, and tested for decades. Stay away from these so called ZDDP boosters. They only concentrate on the levels of ZDDP. To much ZDDP is NOT beneficial and can be harmful. The STP is balanced as to not harm the oils additive package.
