STP filter "2 oil changes" unknown miles cut open with sludge deposits!!

Sludgetacular.

Gotta wrap media in a few paper towels for 24-48 hr. That will leach the liquid oil out and give contrast to see the sludge and particulates left behind. Otherwise, it's all pretty close to the same color and hard to really see.

There are sludge particles that look like coffee grounds on the filter end caps. Plus I already burned the filter.

I would keep going with the R&P. Probably best thing you could do for it right now. Thanks for keeping us posted on the progress.

yeah I figured by the 3rd or 4th oci most of the sludge would be gone. I was way off. I thinks that last one was the 5th and it seems like it's no where close to being gone.
