I too have a cummins dodge and run the mobil 1 filter. It cost me 9 bucks for a fleetguard from cummins and I can buy the mobil 1 at autozone for 10 bucks just down the street. That's a no brainer for me. I have been very pleased with the performance of the mobil 1 and from what I have read on here everyone seems to think it is a great filter. They are pretty high for the wife's malibu and my mom's honda crv.

Denso filters have a cardboard end plate like the orange Fram; do you still want to know more?
FG, do you know what the actual difference is and why Ford does it this way? In your opinion, which is the "better" filter? (I know I can't buy the factory one, I'm just curious.)
Big deal. The real question is how much media is in-between them. Also care of assembly and dome end bypass.

Hey overlord you can buy an Original filter just costs more, you have to order it, for a dubious at best benifit.
