It's completely crazy. The market was acting like it was going to tank when Trump was elected then flipped all the way around. Even now it's setting new highs when there's double digit unemployment. Just going to ride it out.
The call may be correct, but the real problem is how do you know when to get back into the market? I think that's the basic analysis, some people can call it and get out at the right moment, but they don't get back in at the right time so they miss the gains when it comes back. I just intend to ride it out. Been doing that for the last few decades and had some good beatings but was also in it when it came back.
There is no formula to know when to get back in. Dollar cost averaging is the best way to deal with the markets ups and down. You buy more shares during down times.
