Bingo. That's exactly why lots of people don't use it. Superflo is cheaper and still gives very good results and has a pretty good backing on this forum. Sure you don't get the exact same formulation as the M5000, but that's because Superflo isn't advertised as a "guaranteed 5000 mile oil", and thus doesn't contained the advertised "extra goodies" that are in the M5000. If I didn't have a GM 3400 gasket leaker then I'd run it IF I found it at a good price (like Autozone has a special 5qts plus an STP filter for 10 bucks). But I don't want to skew any UOA's with it in the (hopefully) unlikely event something happens to my intake gaskets. It's a fine oil, but why pay for that advertised 5K OCI when most dinos nowadays can go that far and are less expensive...quote:
