Anyone else have poor fuel economy from their 4 mix engines? Specifically the trimmers. I have an fs100rx trimmer and I get about an hour per tank. This thing burns about twice as much as my 2 stroke echo trimmers.

I've got the KM-130 and that sounds about right - the only time I use it continuously for that long is when I put a tiller attachment on it. I'd say 1-1.5 hours per tank was what I got. It is a few years old so is well broken in. I forget what it was like when new but I know it smoothed out and became easier to start as it broke in.

I tuned mine by running it at full throttle and turned the hi speed screw in (leaning out)until it lost rpm and then I backed off about 1 turn and that gave me awesome fuel efficiency, but apparently this is too lean according to what the factory sets it at unless they just tune it for emissions. I always thought just as long as it puts out good power and doesn't bog down or lose power then the carb setting is ok. Am I wrong? I decided to not take a chance and put it back to the factory setting which is 3 turns out. I had it set about 2 turns out

We've been running that exact trimmer for 8 weeks now. Yes, uses quite a bit more fuel that my 2-stroke Shindy's....but I don't even care. We are loving it...and even more as it breaks in. (Switched to the speed feed head)
