I just happened to stop by and saw this listed under the 10 new threads on the front page: "Protect the 'gay gene' ?"
I immediatly thought to myself "Now that's gonna get locked". Sure enough, I clicked on it and it was already locked.
My question, why do people continually start new topics that are questionable and are guaranteed to get locked? Sure, I can understand a topic that may be sitting on the fence, but some, such as the one in question, obviously go over the edge.
There seem to be a certain few people who continually start these topics, and the surprising part is that many of these people are veteran BITOG members who know better. They know how Bob felt about this and they know the rules that Tony has has so obviously listed in black and white for everybody to see.
While I have been guilty of posting in these topics, I think I may have started only two, and one was what I considered a fence sitter, while the other was in humor and a few people didn't find it very humorous.
So, my question is to the people who continually start these topics, and you know who you are. Why do you continually start these topics when you know that they break the rules and will get locked. We like having the "general and off topic" section. Please don't ruin it.
Many of you are parents. How would you like your children to know that you feel it is okay to break the rules.
Thanks, Mike
