Stargazers, need advice on a telescope.

I've been looking for a dobsonian and have come to a conclusion that I am comfortable spending the money on an 8 inch. Zhumell shines compared to others within it's category. This is the scope I decided to buy for my family to look at things above. But, a 10" skywatcher popped up for nearly the same price. If anyone has any experience in this area, especially with the scopes in question, every bit of information would be appreciated.
