You obviously missed the quiet press release a couple years ago when Amazon signed a
$600 million contract to provide "data warehouse solutions" for the CIA. Exactly where do you think the CIA is getting all the data to fill that storage? Oh yeah, Alexa microphones and Amazon website cookies and scripting.

Some people just have no clue how government works.
The CIA spies on foreign countries. They get data just like the FBI. Pretty good collaboration with AWS, government entities can be behind the times when they have small IT departments vs some other larger corporate entities.
