Springtime - Who's started yardwork?

It was 72 degrees here and the snow is gone. Went out and raked the debris and leaves from the yard. Took some Tenacity and sprayed the backyard and that was enough for me today

I have a bunch of brush cutting, weedeating to do tomorrow. Going to give the echo 2620 a workout.

I gathered up branches blown in and cut some overhanging stuff last week. Already gone to the county.
Too early to start cutting grass yet.

I washed and sanded 25 shutters today....later it rained so when I get a good day I'm rocking and rolling.

The Spartan needs tuned up but it's not mowing time yet here...

Plus I have to get the house refurbished to sell...going to be tough...

Y'all quit yer braggin'! We're still largely buried under white stuff here, although we lost a lot today with bright sun and a high of 3 C. My outdoor work involved raking some snow off the roof and chipping a channel in the ice to allow the runoff from the melting snow to get to a street drain.

I already started watering the lawn. It is very dry here and without help the grass is going to get hurt.

I already heavily pruned the shrubs and cleaned up the beds but I will put off lawn mowing as long as I can. The grass has started growing however. Once you mow , it grows like crazy and you are married to it for six months.

I did walk around the yard picking up broken tree branches and debris that was blown in from the windy days.

I have. From Monday, first pass to my propane tank to get it ready for a delivery.

I haven't done anything but getting close for crabgrass prevention last year the forsythia bush bloomed on March 16 still no blooms yet.When it blooms I hand rake lightly to pick up debris,stand up matted grass n remove snow mold. Put down my pre emergent and water in. I'm a big fan of all season long pre emergent not just the spring

Started picking up some of the sticks and branches that had been knocked down before last weeks wind storm. Now I have a pine tree down to deal with. We have only had a hand full of really warm days though so far. Still a bit early here but the grass is starting to turn green a grow.

Last night mowed for the second time.

Not too much to do this year. Mulch and some trimming. I need to sod where the county decided to mess with the sidewalk and leave me a mess.

This AM right at dawn (it's 8AM here now) I started sifting soil in our raised garden beds. All the post hole dirt went in the beds on top of the green manure. Post hole dirt has mega rocks and was a large volume (decent diameter farm posts cemented in). But the soil with the rocks top notch. Mixed with the super rich established soil = excellent veggie soil.

The screen on my homemade screen was pretty shot so I just tacked another screen under it. The output is perfect. The input is extremely laborious.

One bed done............5 to go. Geeze. ugg.
