CT4 Blackwing is a bit pricey for me. Was just looking on-line at the Premium Luxury and V-Series with the 2.7 engine. Gotta go check them out. The best car dealership in the Dallas/Ft Worth area is 30 minutes from my house.

I've driven a friend's Model S, and it was way cool, but also way out of my price league. No offense, but the Model 3 looks like a tiny little transportation pod to me. Also, I'd see myself coming and going around here. And, again, I don't like the only display being in the center. Can't teach an old dog...

My 2016 Mustang GT is going on 10 years old. I’ve enjoyed driving it over the years, but many of the roads where I live now are in a perpetual state of crappy. Big trucks have beaten them to death, delivering everything imaginable to the subdivisions and warehouses being built all around us. As soon as the county fills in the potholes and rough spots, others spring up, so it’s an endless battle just trying to aim the car to a smooth(er) section of road. With the car’s stiff suspension and low ride height, it’s not a fun ride anymore. I’ve bottomed out a couple of times now, and even the driver’s seat is groaning in protest. OK, you’ve got the idea!

What I’m looking for now is a moderately quick, good-handling sedan with better manners on the roads where I drive. Back in the 70s and 80s I had a BMW 3-Series, an Audi GT Coupe, and later an Infiniti G35. Those were fun cars that rode a little higher and smoother than my Mustang.

Cars currently in production that I’ve been looking at (online) are the BMW 3-series, the Genesis G70, Audi A5, and Acura TLX. Am I missing anything? If Toyota, Mazda, or Honda, had a sports sedan, I’d look at those, too.

I’d appreciate your suggestions and comments, especially if you’ve owned any of these cars.

The Cadillac cts-v, ct-4/ct-5. Infiniti Q70? The big sedan..

The model 3 is an appliance, the Cadillac CT-4 has class.

Maybe some of the MB sedans? I haven't been in the AMG versions, but some of the regular ones seem to absorb nasty roads quite well for the amount of suspension travel they have. I guess some of the sports sedans with active dampers, Cadillac magnetic ride control, must be half decent too if you get the right settings?

Might sound biased here, but what about a VB (2022+) Subaru WRX? Sedan, moderately quick, and can be had in a manual if wanted.

The original sports sedan (2002). I've owned two of these Bavarian beauties. Loved every minute. Bought first one brand new in 1970 from a Mercedes dealer in Chicago that was importing them if ordered. Cost ~$4K when a new VW beetle was ~$2K.

You probably would have liked a new V6 Camry, but 2024 was the last year.

What your looking at still sits low and anything sporty will have have low profile tires and not ride as good as you may like. My wife bought a new 2025 BMW 330i xDrive and she had to have it in Brooklyn gray because she was born and raised there. It came with 19" tires and while it handles great and is supposedly runs a 13.9 1/4 mile, I wouldn't buy it if ride quality is that important to you. The non M Sport with 18's would be better.

I've always wanted to manual swap one. I wonder how finicky the Toyota/Lexus software is? One guy recently manual swapped an amg Mercedes.

Had a friend in the Navy who had a 2002, probably a 69 or 70. Man that thing was fun, but I couldn't afford one. It cost 50% more than the 350/4speed Chevy Nova I bought. That 50% would have been around 4 months pay!

IIRC, 2024 is the last year of the A4---if you like the styling, you may to find a low mileage CPO at a good price.
