Need new U joints for my Liberty, does get used off road. Which brand is better? Spicers are $27 each and the Precision are $15 each.

Thanks!

Spicer!

I got 4 years of off road service out of Precision front axle shaft U Joints in my Jeep. Even with Driveline U Joints spicer just seems to be much more beefy and better quality than any OTC ones I have seen.

I've got Spicers in my XJ front and rear. I put in new Precision joints and took the driveshaft in the get balanced and the driveshaft shop said the new Precision joints were junk, felt like they were broken, lots of resistance. Had them put in the Spicers and I returned the Precisions to O'Reillys.

I've been using Spicer whenever possible, killed lots of precision joints doing things that the Spicer's handled without any issues.

Called around and couldn't get the Spicer ones until tomorrow, wanted them today so I can drop off the driveshaft in the morning to the regular guy I take stuff to. Found a local driveshaft shop that didn't carry Spicer any more due to them being imported, but carries Neapco and said they're better than Spicers. He had the ones in stock, $8 each and USA made. Spicers were $27 each. Precision were $15 each.

Thanks for the advice guys, I do appreciate it (even though I did what I had to do with another brand!) I'll post up how they work.

Used to change U joints quite often(washed them out a lot), those Spicers last and last...
