project farm "well see about that"My biggest problem is the Walmart "yellows" seem to get black mold layer on them that gets imbedded during the summer sun. I need to see if anyone has tested jackets that do a better job preventing that. I'm pretty sure the ones I bought were rated for outdoors too like this one. More digging I need to do... That is a decent price for that Guage & length.
I think it’s something that just happens. The sun fades and literally eats cheaper vinyl cords. When they deteriorate, they become rough and porous which allows mossy growth. My biggest problem is the Walmart "yellows" seem to get black mold layer on them that gets imbedded during the summer sun. Great price for US made goods. Thanks for sharing.
These are, by far, the best extension cords I’ve ever used. I left one outside all winter to plug my truck in, and it still looks like new. It remained flexible at -8F as well. I have quite a few, maybe give these a try?My biggest problem is the Walmart "yellows" seem to get black mold layer on them that gets imbedded during the summer sun. I have looked at the Agripro. I assume they are PUR or PUR coated - hence the chemical resistance. I have a PUR cord, 50 feet, no idea on the brand, that is at minimum 30 years old, and its still in good shape - well less the plugs which have been replaced, but the cable is still working great. These are, by far, the best extension cords I’ve ever used. I bought a majority of these on sale. Keep an eye out, especially on Amazon, because they will periodically list them for reasonable prices.I have looked at the Agripro. Can't justify the price for my needs - the one above I bought for a summer job I was working on. But if I was buying for a jobsite those would be the ones for me.
Thanks, It may camouflage the black mold if I just get a black cord. These are, by far, the best extension cords I’ve ever used. I left one outside all winter to plug my truck in, and it still looks like new. It remained flexible at -8F as well. I have quite a few, maybe give these a try?

Rather than creating a new thread, I figured it would be easier and more helpful to add to this thread since the original deal is still active.
Noticed this this morning. Specifically the orange 12-3 25’ cord for $17.49. https://a.co/d/ayedzRc
