Songs that you simply never liked? Or can't stand.

I like a ton of different stuff from all over the world. The 2 songs that always jump to the top of my worst list are We Built this City and American Pie. I’d rather listen to the Barney song or We Like to Party by the Vengaboys.

I was just pointing out a song to one of our execs today that was playing at work: Layla - Eric Clapton. So repetitive and a whiny guitar.

Probably anything Bob Dylan...I'd rather miss a good song by him than listen to everything to find it. I'd just as soon be waterboarded with burning napalm. My dad used to play records of him when I was a kid. Awful. Even back then I couldn't understand HOW he got popular.

Good band. Bad song.

Makes me want to go play in traffic

That's a cover song, But like most Metallica's stuff after the "Black" Album.....It sucks. Though I do like Die Die My Darling & Last Caress which is are Misfits covers. The Misfits were terrible musicians for the most part, But I still like to listen to them.

Makes music that only post-menopausal women can enjoy.

That's amusing, I like a great deal of post-black album Metallica, including this cover, Turn the Page, both the songs you mentioned along with Astronomy off the Garage Inc. album.

On Load, Reload and beyond:
- Ain't my Bi***
- The House Jack Built
- King Nothing
- Bleeding Me
- Wasting My Hate
- Thorn Within
- Until it sleeps
- Hero of the day
- The Outlaw Torn
- The Unforgiven III
- All Nightmare Long
- The Day that Never Comes
- St. Anger (even though it sounds like it was recorded in a sardine can)
- Fuel
- The Unforgiven II
- Where the wild things are
- Fixxxer

I'm sure there are a few more. I have Load on vinyl, original UK pressing, I think it's a really good album in its own right if your expectation isn't Hit the Lights and the Four Horsemen type of sound.

Anything top 40 since about 2010.

Yes, for me, it's pretty much anything with brain-dead lyrics, so most rap, pop, hip-hop...etc. WAP almost gives me an aneurysm. Any song that takes another, older song, as its base and makes it "rappy" drives me nuts. It's been done with Eye of the Tiger and several others.

Anything by the "Beib" would be another one

And this latest trend of singing like you are out of breath, what's that song, bad guy or something? There are others that are similar.

I do like Rihanna though, she has some good songs that are pretty catchy. Disturbia was a good one for example. So I don't hate all pop, just most of it, lol 😁

I think this was a GREAT cover... Not Metallica though lol.

That song "Fuel," what is it.. "Give me fuel, give me fire, give me.."

Most Van Halen never appealed to me.
Gone Dancing by the Kinks.
Any twangy all sound the same country songs.
Most all the newer Springsteen stuff. You know, since 1978.
I'm NOT a Springsteen fan, but have you heard his cover with Tom Morello of The Ghost of Tom Joad? (originally RATM) It's really good, at least in my opinion. It's the only song I like on that entire album, lol.

Yep, that's the one, James is a big car guy and decided to write a song about drag racing and the automotive hobby. That was the result.
