A lot of you may remember “Project Corolla.”

My sister drove the car for 34 months and 17,863 miles.

She experienced zero breakdowns. I did replace the starter due to a solenoid issue, but this was something I noticed before it became an actual reliability issue.

The car was sold to another BITOGer. I will let him identify himself if he chooses to. I think the car served its intended purpose and I hope it serves its new owner well.

My baaaaaad new ride. This car is clean! Low miles for almost 20 years old. @The Critic took a spin in the M3P. The Corolla is for my niece and her 2 sets of twin girls. It just might get 1 of the younger twins through college.
Here she is in my driveway. I can tell you this car can do 90 all the way home; a good 60+ miles...
I am 100% happy with this car. Thanks to @The Critic for giving me 1st crack at it, not to mention fresh M1, ATF and a smog check in the glove box. Such a deal!

My congrats to the both of you. It is a great thing when such a transaction is truly appreciated by both parties.
Used cars are always a crap shoot; you have no idea of its history. Let's just say I had no need to even test drive this car. I was more interested in putting my car in Insane mode to see @The Critic 's reaction when he hit the gas... Much more fun!
He's more anal about car care than I am and that's saying something.

This Corolla needs nothing. He plugged in my cell and everything came up. Nuthin' to it.

Man if we only had such rust free examples around here!
I forget how nice it is here; 330+ days of sunshine. I cringe when I see pics of people banging on rust-welded rotor-to-hubs and rusted out suspension components. I recently had to use a small sledge to remove a worn rotor on a 2003 Tundra. It came from Oregon somewhere; the passenger side just easily fell off.

Yea I lost one truck and one car to rust, so now I have to deal with oily undercoatings that makes me hate working on the underside of my vehicles :ROFLMAO:

@Delta, where you live in southern Pa they aren't even serious about salting the roads. We're from Brookville in NW Pa where they salt the roads before during and after a snow and spray brine solution just because. I give thanks every time I work on my rust free '02 Wrangler here in Arizona! Growing up in Rustylvania working on crusty cars is just a given, it doesn't have to be.

They just have started using the liquid pre-treat around here in the past 3 or so years. Maryland has been using it for a while, which is where I work. That stuff is nasty!
