Okay, so , '13 Optima 2.4l LX. She came with Denso FXU16HR11. My research on the Kia parts official site says the current part is 18851-11060, which best I can tell from some shaddy photos is NGK DILKR6A11. Says it superseded 18847-11160, which I also gather is the Densos. So, what's the dif, is the website right, and is there a reason I should choose one or the other?
Thanks in advance

It is all pretty obvious

If you want to run NGK:
BTW you dropped a "C" in the P/N

I usually go to RockAuto website to find the correct part no. or equivalent part no.
It is correct most of the time especially for something like spark plugs.

Sorry if it is not obvious to me. sparkplug-crossrefernece doesn't show these as being a cross to one another, even though they are the same size. So I don't know there is like, a heat range difference or anything. Looks like the NGK has .1mm bigger electrode. And what about the DILKR6C11 you just mention, what makes that different and why do you suggest that?

I just went to the NGK USA site and looked up your Year, MFG, Model and engine and that is what popped up.

I did the same thing for a sanity check and came up with that as well. The numbers I got earlier tho were from the official Kia parts site. Not that those haven't been wrong before.
Run what came out if you can get them at reasonable cost.
Seems like a safe bet. I should have some Densos in stock at work too. I just wonder if there is a reason for the supersession on Kia's end. Simple supplier change? Or is something about the NGK version better?

Well, if you went 100k miles (guess) how better could it be? Lol. I would say supplier change for cost or availability. Asian MFGs have alternated between ND and NGK for decades. Some Subaru came with Champions back in the old Cu core Ni plug days.

Just call Autozone or O'Reiley and they;ll give you the s/p number of the brand of your choice
