Snowblowers: Tracked or tires with chains?

I appreciate all the replies and suggestions. Tracks seem like the way to go but my only concern with our steep property is that the tracked blower will slide down sideways. That shouldn't be a problem after the first snow when trails are established though.

Puppy paths in the winter are very important. (y)
Big dogs just push through the snow.

I don't like tracks nor chains. I like to be able to roll, pull and slide the machine around without having to use the controls and drive the machine everywhere you go. I have a mix of Ariens and MTD products for my home use. With most 2-stg snowblowers, the more "traction" you try to gain, the more you'll be burning out your friction disk for the drive system, shorten the life of belts, etc. Hondas are the exception to this.

I find Honda snowblowers to be very awkward to operate with their hydrostatic drive systems, but man do they gobble up and throw snow like no other. They are an odd ball feat of Honda engineering when it comes to working on them as well. They are not simple like all your standard friction disk units.

Something tells me @Ausfahrt will have a top of the line tracked Honda unit painted to match his Tundra.
