SN+ vs SP significant differences?

I purchased some Havoline Pro-DS Synthetic on Walmart; wanted to add some SP to the stash and the image clearly showed SP/GF6-A rating.

Walmart sent the older style box with API SN+ rating. In my application it likely makes no difference, but is SP superior to the SN+? Are some oils able to pass SP rating with no change in formula? Odd that Walmart has updated their images but continue to sell the old product. If someone were to have a vehicle that required SP (not sure if that requirement exists yet from any OEMs), I imagine they'd be mighty disappointed.

Since your cars don't care, I wouldn't give this a 2nd thought. Do any vehicles spec API SP yet ? It's not like the oil producers have told all of their retailers to scrap this old, garbage SN+ stuff since it is worthless now...

There are a lot of MY2021 vehicles that spec API SP oil now.
