I miss those couple-three years there for awhile when some of the big box stores opened for Black Friday sales starting on Thursday evening. That seemed to go away with Covid and I don't think it has come back.
Small Specific Gripe about black Friday = Simply ONE thing. Too many PEOPLE! WoW...... people were tripping over each other. Tends to make one wonder. Where is all this MONEY they are spending coming from when every story tells of too many people without jobs! WELL.. can it mostly be going on those dastardly / wildly high interest rate charged .... Credit Cards!? Yikes.
P.S. Happy HOLIDAYS (can't say the real things for fear of offending someone in this day n age). Anyway ! Peace and Happiness to ALL of the BITOG folks and I Hope n Pray you all have a great holiday season and especially hope everyone gets to see their family.... kids , grandkids , parents etc......
Several years ago I was at my in-laws in Ohio for Thanksgiving and the local Walmart was opening up at 5 or 6pm for the sales. They were releasing specific sale items all through the evening at specific times.
A pallet of Android tablets went on sale at (say) 8pm and it was like a feeding frenzy you'd see on Discovery channels Shark week when they throw in a carcass. And just like that, the frenzy was over and the whole pallet was picked clean. Probably took less than a minute.
