Sludge maker?

I used to read this forum frequently, but I have not been around for a while. My question is, are Toyota 2.4 motors considered sludge makers? I'm considering a new Scion tc in the next few months, and it uses the Camry 2.4 motor. I usually change oil and filter between 3 and 4 thousand miles, using full synthetic at least half of the time. Will I be OK with this motor on this regimine?

Thanks for your help.

I own a tC.

The toyota 2.4l 2az-fe is NOT a sludge monster.
I'm in the same boat, I change my oil about 4k with synthetic like Pennzoil Platinum - Not because I'm afraid of sludge, but because I enjoy doing the changes, and I have the BITOG-itch.

By the way, the tC 2006+ calls for 5w-20.
