My dart had its first real issue. The brake fluid was almost empty the warning lights were on ect. Well i have the famous slave cylinder issue. What erks me more than anything is Chrysler is aware of this issue yet will not replace the clutch because the clutch is only covered 12months 12,000 miles. I'm hoping for good news today from the dealer but i always have my doubts. Seems to me if the clutch is contaminated replacement should be necessary.

Start warming up for that fight. It should be covered if the bad slave cylinder destroyed it, but you know how that goes. Good luck.

When my 2002 F-150 blew it's clutch slave cylinder it was outside of the time warranty but only had 19,000 miles on it. Ford replaced all but the clutch disc at no cost to me. There was no contamination of the clutch disc. But since it was all apart already the dealer agreed to charge me only for the clutch disc part. For $35 it was worth it to me.

Good thing is that you have credentials, not just some shade tree mechanic. I'd request to see the clutch and have pictures of it. Then be ready to fight based upon that, or not if in all honesty it's not an issue.

Good luck!

Something else damaged your clutch, your clutch didn't go bad by itself.

They need to wipe their tears and bite the bullet and fix it for you.

The clutch disc wasn't contaminated supposedly i went to pick it up today and made it
3 miles and the clutch went to the floor and i had to use my foot to pull it up. Not sure if the part wad defective or something

Sounds like air in the system, not probably bled correctly, unless the new slave cylinder is bad. A contaminated clutch disc will usually chatter, not be smooth.
