Hi,
like my makita vs. milwaukee thread, Im looking for a good general purpose circular saw. I have found great prices on the skil magnesium case 7 1/4" saw. Its a 'worm drive', so I guess its set up like a differential... its even oiled!
It looks like a good unit, able to do things liek cleanly cut lumber, plywood, etc., etc. easily, and tackle any job that the little homeowner can do... If I need to mitre a charirail or moulding, Ill likely cut it by hand, but for the big stuff, I want a saw like this.
The skil is made in the USA (though skil is owned by bosch), and seems decent... any opinions???
Thanks!
