Single Tip or Twin Tip Spark Plugs for My Camry

Beware of the coil connectors. The tabs like to break.

I would use the original style Denso plugs.

they still break? :poop:

I had to replace those connectors on a third gen with the 1MZ. Thank goodness it only had 3 coils, all in the front (waste spark, so no coils in the rear) 😬

The Denso TT plug is a aftermarket port of the Super Ignition Plug that they invented for the Toyota D4-S engines. There’s probably no harm using them, they are identical to the OEM plug with an Ir center electrode and Pt disc/inlay on the ground strap. Just don’t gap them. A Camry I4 2AR-FE is child’s play for plugs. If it was the V6, stick with the OEM ones.

I’ve used the Platinum TT in a Subaru as well as a Honda GCV160 with no ill effects. 😉

I am currently using Denso TT plugs in my CTS and I am happy with them. These are not "as gimmicky" like the Bosch +2 or +4 or the terrible E3 plugs. They have a good design and I think they work well. Do they work better than the single tip plug previously installed? I don't know because none of us would be able to butt dyno any differences in a sparkplug unless it was missfiring.
