You didn't mention car's color, how can we help without knowing the color? My nieces' KIa seems to be burning oil . The spec is 5w-20 . Would something else be better ?

I hate these "everything but the kitchen sink" experiments .you could just cut to the chase and get it over with for much less money and time : https://www.driveaccord.net/threads/i-solved-oil-burning-in-my-accord-4-cylinder.539415/
Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w-30 for 4 oil changes in a row. Might as well stick with this oil for good. It's not just for cleaning rings.I know I didn't provide much info but I don't really have much . I also don't have unlimited access to the vehicle . My sister brought the car by the house today for me to replace a tail light bulb and while I had it I checked the oil . It was scary low and I know it is not leaking . It has about 70k miles on it .
I added 3 qts . Like I said , scary low .How much oil is it “burning”?

I do something similar. Check every Sunday morning, but on my one vehicle that is known to consume oil, I don't religiously keep it at Full like you do. I wait for it to get to the midpoint on the dipstick before topping off back to full. This allows me to track how many miles it takes, then I can get an idea if oil consumption is getting better, worse, or staying the same.A lecture on the importance of checking the oil would be in order here. I check mine every Saturday and keep the level right at F on the stick.
Oil consumption with my 2018 Kia Soul Plus with the 2.0 GDI engine dropped after running Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 10W30, topped up with 2 bottles of Rislone. I'm now on my second OCI since running the PUP/Rislone fill and oil consumption has continued to improve slightly.
