I have a 94 Dodge Shadow with the 2.2L TBI engine It has been setting all summer I start it from time to time but the injector went bad a coated my plugs with carbon so Im gonna seafoam it and was wondering should I change the oil afterwards before I drive it I have Mobil 1 HM 10w30 in it with maybe idle time and 5 miles on the OCI Im gonna pour the seafoam into the throuttle body 1/3 of the can then pour enough in it to flood it out like the online video says the start it up after letting it set for 5 mins . will this harm my oil?

Use the brake booster hose and a Ratio-rite style cup to pour half the seafoam can into and then stick the hose in the cup of seafoam, hold it while a buddy starts the motor, then as soon as the cup is empty (takes just a few seconds) yell at the buddy/wife to shut off the motor. Pouring into throttle body is only for carb'd motors! I do half can, then let it marenate for about 15min, then start it up and let idle for 15-20min, then give it 10 good revs at the end of that time, then go drive it on the HWY about 10+ miles. Do it away from people or in the middle of the night so as not to upset the neighbors with the smoke. I havfound that half can in the intake & then pour the other half in the gas works well...I have done this without changing the oil, but it is best to wait until you are at the end of any OCI and then do your SeaFoam treatment then...

Just my 2 cents...I have been using the stuff since '99...cleaned many a cabonated cars

FastSUV is right. You can do it thru the throttle body (I do sometimes) but a vac line is so much easier. I will def change the oil afterwards.

Its got brand new plugs put them in the other day I just wanted to clean some of the carbon off the pistions and valves.
I did the seafoam today and it didnt smoke to bad just enough to notice. I smelled the oil after It doent have a smell no gas smell or anything so I think Ill run a week or so before I dump. I added the rest of the can into the gas tank to displace any water that might have been in there
