Should I change it or wait? If so, for how long?

2007 Prius - running synthetic all its life.

New fill of Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30 at 75,000 miles about 6 months ago. Now has 84,600 miles. Using Microgreen filter (built-in bypass filter, down to 2 microns), MG301-1 (same size as a PL20195) about a 2x oversize filter for the Prius.

Driven 66 mile round trip commute 5 days a week.

Questions:

1) Should I change it soon? (~10k miles on it)
OR
2) Should I wait to change it? If so, for how long?

Go 15k. Oil and engine can do it easily.

It might even go longer, but you'd want a used oil analysis to guarantee that.

Search the used oil analysis section for Prius used oil analysis - one member has done a few real doozies that should alevate any fear you have.

I agree with a combination of the two above posts. Get a used oil analysis at about 12K and see if it's advisable to continue until 15K. By that time, and even now, you're still racking up savings.
