Should I be pricing 24F batteries?

I have this battery - made by clarios (Johnson controls) and mine was only 70% state of health after fully charged the day I brought it home, according to my battery tester which has been accurate to date. Maybe I got a dud. It still works fine so far - less than a year though. I should have brought my tester to the store.
that will happen to any battery left on the shelf too long. freshness matters. but what cca is it showing now? its rated 585cca. if it's below 500 you should return it before the 1yr is up. and get a fresh one next time. I have the same battery dated 11/20 and it still measures 680cca.

Those 24F's are a bargain!!

I just paid $150+ for a toy sized 51R EverStart Maxx for my 2015 Nissan Versa through Walmart. The car has been starting/performing fine, but I just tested it today at 11.9v. It is the factory battery.

The last battery I bought was an "Econopower" group 75 battery for my 1984 Chevy Cavalier. It cost all of $50 from the Interstate distributor, and worked well enough to move the car several feet on the starter when it ran out of gas....

If I need another car battery in the future, I'll just get another one of these "Econopower" batteries. The price is right.

Modern cars have computers that wake up and draw power momentarily when you walk up to them and open the doors/hood. I've noticed my Grand Cherokee will read a lot lower when doing this compared to popping the hood, locking the doors, and going out to check battery voltage after 15+ min while leaving the key fob in the house.

But I'd replace that battery anyways. Either the $55 ValuePower at Walmart or one from Costco is the best deal.

I put the clarios made 24f Walmart value in our odyssey this summer after the battery I had in there an H6 FCA battery died in less than a year, what junk!

The original Honda odyssey battery lasted 5 years and the crank started to seem a little weak in winter so that’s when I had put the H6 in

When I bought my current Jeep, it came with a Korean made FVP battery. It also came with a 5 year free replacement slip attached. As I sell these very batteries, I plan on turning it in right at 4 years 11 months for a fresh one. They aren't the best batteries, but it started my 4.7 without a hiccup last winter.

it’s undercharged but the conduction voltage under load, if truly only down to 10.9, isn’t completely terrible.

I buy my batteries in town at BATTERY WAREHOUSE. The last one l had installed in my 07 F150 was a 2 year battery. I bought it in 2016 and replaced it last year with another BW 2 year battery. It was $75 and change, installed.
