I'm in SE PA. Looking for better sources for produce, eggs, and not-super-perishable stuff like oats and honey. We'd love to start buying from farmer's markets and directly from farms, but our location and particular buying habits would make that less than convenient. Are there some good local farms that take online orders and ship them to homes, or services that work with local farms to that end? Again, this is SE PA, so we may need some geographically specific guidance.

In central NJ, we had a farm coop that sold shares. I bought 1/4 share and had more lettuce and salad stuff than I knew what to do with. Check out local farmers markets.

Farmers markets are a mixed bag, I go to them several times a year. A lot of so called farmers at farm markets I go to buy their goods at wholesalers and resell it at a higher markup and fool the ignorant. There are always a few that sell watermelons in June in Ohio at farmers markets, sticker removed probably from a mega farm in Florida.

If you live in a big city some specialty grocers have buyers that find better produce and foods. Fresh Thyme Market is a perfect example
