Any suggestions on how to pinpoint an apparent exhaust vibration, happens when a load is on at each shift. I can't see any obviously bad welds or missing hardware. This is a 2012 Elantra but with 78K and a rear ended by a semi in its history. There is also something rubbing it sounds like up front at right wheel when I make tight left at slow speed, like when parking, don't think it's related but maybe. Really bugging me. I pulled the calipers and re-greased the pins, that didn't help with the wheel noise. I have to look for rubbing I think for that one. But the vibration is really bugging me. I open only the front or rear passenger windows to try to determine if it's front or rear but can't tell.

Go drive it in circles slowly in a parking lot in both directions. Could be a cvj or wheel bearing going bad.

Perhaps it's a loose heat shield and it just happens to get to a resonant frequency at that speed. I'd look for that first if you can safely jack the car up and get under there with a ratchet.

Is the wheel well trim secure on the right front side?

BTW schuylkill, I'm originally from Reading, it's not often you see that name so it stuck out to me!

So I installed a ss hose clamp on the long shield that's stitch welded to the exhaust pipe located behind the resonator. The buzz is gone though I still think I hear a very slight vibration. The shield has 2 welds near each end and crimping in the center. I put the clamp over the crimped area. Maybe I'll put on one more at a weld.

Where in NJ are you gofast, I grew up in Atco and was at Sally Star's restaurant on Jackson Rd last weekend while visiting the folks. Not far from the Atco Dragway.

Noise at the wheel was from the backing plate. I recently rotated wheels so I guess this somehow caused movement of plate. I don't understand how by cornering the car the plate contacts the rotor but apparently that's what was occurring. I pulled the plate away from the rotor and the noise occurred constantly, pushed it in and it went away.
