FB definitely has a lot of attention seekers, primarily women. They post photos in skimpy attire then wait for the comments about how hot they are. Or they'll post something on their Wall along lines of "Gosh I'm getting so fat!!" (even though she's 110 lbs). It's so obvious they're fishing for compliments and attention.

Not that I mind. FB is a great way for single guys to meet very attractive women to date

I've never had a facebook account. And I work in an IT related field.

Social networking has its place, I'll agree. However, most are too ignorant to realize the danger, the social magnitude of their decisions, and possible employment problems in the future.

my facebook is blank without a pic. I seriously thought about using it. but then I would have to have explain why ex girlfriends are my friends. but if you block people, it gets complicated. so I just don't use it.

I don't have facebook, for some pretty obvious reasons, but better half does. It's how we found out about Gary, that our two partners were mates after our NY trip...it can prove invaluable.

Interestingly, if you look at the FB profile of the alleged perp in our break-in, it fits perfectly with the facts at hand, where mobiles were used, times, places, etc...

NOt evidence, just a belly laugh.

I was beginning to think I was the only one.

I don't have one either; I'm just not very social. And I don't believe for a minute there's anything "private" about it, despite whichever way you've got your settings configured.

Lots of girls never had any attention as a child and will do silly things for attention as an adult (doesn't matter their education level). Sounds to me like this woman is insecure and craving attention posting those photos.

Ive heard from other friends that this is very true of her, i can believe it..

It can also stem from too much attention during childhood in the form of childhood sexual abuse.

The only purpose for my FB account is to have an easy way to share pictures of my son with his grandparents and other family members.

Everything is locked down to "friends only" and my list of "friends" consists of about 10 family members.

Why would I need Facebook? All my real friend are on BITOG!!!!!
