I have used both Amsoil MTG and S.F. MTL-R in my
manual transmission requiring a 75-90wt Gl-4 or
Gl-5 gear oil. They both impoved the shifting.
I wonder which would provide the best protection?

I choose the SF MTL-R because I like molacule more than amatuzio!

I prefer SF lubes because for the last few years we have done developmental testing for them and I see the amount of quality and care Mola puts into the products. They cut no corners because they spend all their money on formulating not marketing.

MTG is a fine product and shows well in analysis so if you are using it run with confidence.

Since our MTL-R has a higher level of EP additives, I would have to argue that MTL-R provides better long term wear protection.

Run them both for 20k, I.E., do a used oil analysis with a factory baseline oil for comparison, and see what happens.
