Service Champ High Performance Synthetic HP4459, unexpected find

The Service Champ photos you posted look to have the same built configuration (and probably quality) as the CQP, MicroGard Select and Premium Guard. The size of the filters for the same engine application may be driven by the brand owner being specified to PGI.
I see. Yes, the only real difference appears to be the baseplate form and gasket type. I have yet to see a PGI made filter that looks poorly made. They all are superb.

Some CQP, MicroGard Selects and Premium Guard filters also use the P-gasket ... might also have two different baseplate configurations. It may depend on model number, and also different model numbers are made in China vs Vietnam. Hard to keep track of it all since there are so many brand labels under the PGI umbrella.
