Ive been running Amsoil Series 3000 in my 2002 Tacoma 3.4L for the past three oil changes now till recently i swithced over to Amsoil Series 2000 thinking ill get alittle bit better gas milage well after filling up today there was no increase in gas milage at all, is this normal? Thanks.

Yes - there are so many other factors that effect gas mileage, oil type is usually hidden in the noise. Unless you go thinner and change transmission and differential fluids all at the same time the change will be imperceptable.

For this reason I rarely mention MPG improvements.

Sorry to hear that it didn't increase your MPG. I have a Tundra V8 and I switched from Amsoil 5W30 XL to 0W30 Series 2000 and I had a very nice increase in fuel economy (almost 8%). I have very short trips, however (5Miles 4 times daily) What's a typical day for your Tacoma?

My typical day is 20 miles round trip to work and more city driving.

Well, as Pablo said it doesn't always make a difference. I do think I have an exceptional case, but still I think it is too early to draw a conclusion even on my truck (but it sure points to a positive increase).

Are you sure you installed the oil correctly?

At least it didn't go the opposite direction. Sorry it didn't work for ya, but thanks for posting your results.

Are you high on crack or something or are you supposed to be sarcastic?
