Amsoil Series 2000 & gas milage

Hey guys ive decided to use amsoil series 2000 0W30 in my 2002 Tacoma V6 and i was courious if this oil has helped with gas milage either in this engine or any other engine? Thanks.

it helped, but nothing signicant., maybe 5 -10 max per tank. I drive fast though, soo eh. But i can feel a great improvement from performance and smoothness. its great stuff

Several years age I commuted from San Bruno to San Jose ,in a 4 cyl camry using amsoil 10w30, I switched to Amsoil 0w30 after reading all the hype, No noticable difference.

I keep close tabs on my gas mileage and the s2k 0w30 has increased my average about .8-1 mpg. This is over a period of 15K miles on a 02 Maxima SE (auto).

I ran the Amsoil 0w30 before using the 5w30, the 0w30 gave me 2 mpg more on the highway,
I plan to use the 0w30 again unless I find something better.

I bought a new leftover 2004 Hemi Ram on Memorial Day this year and changed it over to Amsoil 0W30 at 6,000 miles and my fuel milage jumped from 13 to 15mpg in the city..the power is alot better than it was before.

the truck runs alot better....IMO...

No, I switched from the regular Amsoil 10w30 to the S2K 0w30 and my mileage went down, from 27.7 to 23.9 highway. City mileage maybe went slightly higher. I don't think the decrease had anything to do with the oil, BTW. I do like the 0w30 for how the engine "felt."

IMO, I don't believe motor oil can significantly affect mileage. Other factors are more important, like tire pressure, weather, or air conditioning use. Isn't an "energy saving oil" defined as an incremental mpg savings, say 0.2 mpg? I'd like to see a dynometer (sp?) show a 1 or more MPG increase before I'd believe it.

dynos measure hp/torque (actually, they measure torque and calculate hp) and not mpg.

But I understand what you're saying. You want a controlled test that isn't advertisement.

Yes, I want to see MPG calculations with whatever the EPA uses. I thought that was a dyno, but I'm obviously wrong. Gracias.
