This product is seriously mislabeled. They should call the 505 CRO(q) Oil Treatment a "FLUSH."

You still have to ask yourselves, "What is not in an engine oil that it needs a 'treatment'?" A treatment for what?

It contains dipentene a very good solvent for the job. There are a few flushes with this ingredient instead of the usual oil type derivatives used. Maybe @MolaKule could give us a run down.

I've seen many stuck rings rebuilding engines in the '70s through the '90s. Particularly oil scraper rings that were like glued in the compressed position. Synthetics weren't the "norm" until 20 years or so ago. I speculate they stuck where they did and then wore to the point there was no more tension against the cylinder walls, hence the oil consumption and smoke causing the need to rebuild.
Now it's not as common. But hey, the facts is facts and engines often needed rebuilding by 100k miles in those days because of this. Esters are especially good at keeping piston grooves clean and cleaning them out. Time to put on my armor as the beating starts.

Sometimes just the opposite.
