I have Dexter EZlube axles on my travel trailer and according to the Dexter website, Schaeffers is not on their list of approved greases. But I used it anyway. I wonder why it is not on their approved list?

Likely, because none at Schaeffers has evergone thru the process to get approved theu them. It does not mean however that it will not perform in this arena.

Read my current thread,,it costs alot to get approval of the many maunf, specs,,many irrevalant ,most general lubes meet,,,,manf. specs are often for publicy of their products, misapplication of some lubricants can often happen,,,,,,duhhh they want you to buy their own labeled grease,,which is same as someone elses grease,,,,Bl

Schaeffer products are supberb, but Schaeffer is a small player. Dexter likely just make a list of acceptable high volume brands--ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, Citgo, Valvoline, Pennz.

Doesn't mean a thing.

Schaeffers was making grease before the first Wagon Train went west of the Mississippi.

You can't go wrong with Schaeffer's greases, especially their Aluminum complex grease.

I prefer their #221 Moly 800 EP #1 for wheel bearings.

I've been using the 274 and 221. Apparently cost is not a factor for me as 6 tubes shipped was about $33. I do like the stuff.
