Is it safe to spray throttle body cleaner into intake down the hole where the pcv vents to? If so how would you do it? Engine running and warm? Or off and let it soak?
Why don't you just follow the instructions on the can? (With vehicle off) Remove intake tube at the TB, spray TB cleaner in short bursts on both sides on TB plate, let dry, close it all up, and drive away!
Spray it into a vacuum line. Or use mmo or seafoam through the vacuum line.
Brake booster is easy to get at and great suction.
Use half a can dripping it slowly into the vacuum line. Shut off car and let soak for 20 minutes minimum.
Then go out and drive it hard with some full throttle blasts to clean out the leftover
Cleaned my throttle body and intake this morning with CRC Throttle body and intake cleaner...did an excellent job cleaning. Easier starting, lower idle...but idle still a bit rough and erratic. Is it the car getting used the added flow? Will it improve after I drive it?(so far have only started it and let it idle to see how it started and idled)
