Sae 30 for 99 Isuzu?

Those are reputable. I was just thinking that it’s such a rarely used product that hardly anyone would make it. I think that a higher quality 5w30 would still be a better option though.
Then you get into defining quality :)

I just did my lawn mower oil change with some Valvoline SAE30 I have had around for quite some time. When I run out I will go to 15W-40. However I only use maybe a quart or two a year at most.
 
I know with my 97 Rodeo the HLA's would start slapping away with 10w30 and the recommended fix was Mobil1 0W30. Strange that they would still be recommending a thicker oil after they discovered that particular problem. Far as I know those were powered by the same 3.2 weren't they?
If the Mobil 1 0w30 was the ESP, it's actually thicker with a higher HTHS and kv@100C than practically any of the ilsac rated 10w30 oils available.
