That [censored] will just cause more gumming up.

Mowing when the grass is totally dry is one way to prevent
Sticking and the rust that comes with that.
Neighbor mows early in the day, dew is just starting to dry off.
Not me. Afternoon at the earliest.

My 2¢

Yup. I'm a Former FF user on my truck. What a mess, everything stuck to it.

My choice too. Chassis black is like iron paint. I did a K frame with that once it was like iron...glossy finish too.
For the primer I'd use the Eastwood Corroless. Then the Chassis Block. I just used some Corroless on the underside of my bulkhead doors which I got tired of painting the normal way. Maybe that will hold up better.

5 years ago my lawn mower rusted out at one of the wheel mounts. That was my first incident with a mower rusting. And up to that point I was lazy with cleaning the underside off after every mowing. I recommend painting/sealing the underside of the mower when it's still brand new.

I like the idea of chassis paint, that should hold up. Maybe next time. For now want to see what 2 cans, 4 coats of just the rust reformer does. Seems like a pretty tough paint, why not find out..

My lawn has considerable onion grass and crab grasses. They hold moisture and make a mess of the under-carriage no matter how dry the grass looks.
